Northborough – The town of Northborough has now added an extra Saturday drop-off to accommodate the number of Northborough residents who need additional time to transport their debris to the Highway Garage.
The Highway Garage at 190 Main St. will be open Saturday, Nov. 12 and Saturday, Nov. 19, from 8 a.m. and noon. Debris may also be brought to the Highway Garage on business days between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Town employees will be observing the Veterans Day Holiday Friday, Nov. 11 and the Highway Garage will be closed on that day.
The drop-off is for Northborough residents only and no commercial vehicles will be permitted. Residents may, however, pool their debris with neighbors and transport in a pick-up truck or u-haul; however, proof of Northborough residency will be required by those in the vehicle attesting the debris was removed off Northborough property.
Residents should not stack storm debris at the roadside. There will be no roadside debris pick-up – all debris should be taken to the Highway Garage as specified above.
