Marlborough – Geri M. (Lewington) Norris, 64, died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 after a long period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of Richard Norris, to whom she was married for 41 years.
She was born in Bristol, England, the daughter of the late Stanley and Ivey (Wyatt) Lewington, but lived in Canada and the U.S. for her married life.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Norris gave generously of her time to many volunteer organizations; the most noteworthy was her being co-founder of the Boston Lung Cancer Walk, which has raised almost one million dollars for lung cancer research. She inspired many people with her passion and humor.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Karen Tucci and her husband Rocco of Marlborough; her sister, Patricia Dicks of Bristol, England; two grandchildren, Jaden and Tyler; and nieces and nephews.
