Northborough – The Northborough Education Foundation (NEF) will hold its third annual Quiz Night Friday, March 30, from 7 to 20 p.m., at Cyprian Keyes in Boylston. Teams of four will compete, testing their knowledge of sports, TV, movies, history and even local Northborough trivia, while enjoying a fun night out with local friends.
To participate, gather your neighbors, co-workers, PTO members, fellow scout leaders, garden club, book club or Mom's group friends and create a team of four. Then, submit an entry form, along with your tax-deductible entry fee of $120, no later than March 9. Prizes will be awarded to top teams, as well as the team with the best costumes. Light hors d’ouevres and a cash bar will be available.
All proceeds from the event will benefit NEF, a non-profit organization created to enrich, enhance and extend support to the Northborough Public Schools, Algonquin Regional High School and the greater community of Northborough. Last year's Quiz Night helped to fund projects such as electronic keyboards for the elementary music classroom, software for an innovative district-wide reading program, and materials for a literacy program that supported culturally and linguistically diverse families in the Northborough community.
“Quiz Night is an incredibly fun, relaxed time and benefits a great cause,” said Jim Forbush, inaugural Quiz Night winner. “Our team often jokes about the useless knowledge that we were able to recall (or not recall!) over the last two years. It feels even better knowing that every dollar raised flows right back to our schools/children.”
If you can's field a team for Quiz Night, consider sponsoring a question or two. Business and individuals can sponsor questions for $50 each. Entry/sponsorship forms are available at www.northboroughed.org, Lowe's Variety and Meat Market, or the Northborough Free Library. For more information, email [email protected].
