Westborough – Recently, the Westborough Girl Scouts held a roller skating party which resulted in hundreds of donations for Stand Up for Kids. The girls and leaders spent an evening at Roller Kingdom and were asked to bring specific items to donate to other children. Girl Scout troop 30508 organized the evening, flier, and donation idea.
The girls were very excited about the great turn out of other troops.
Westborough Girl Scouts conduct multiple service projects during the year at the troop and service unit level. The next project will be the annual community food drive May 12 at the Tufts Machine lot. Upcoming council events that the public is invited to include the council's 100th Anniversary Big Event May 5 at UMass Amherst.
