Southborough – Southborough's own Donna McDaniel will speak about Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m., at the Southborough Library. What do you really know about the Emancipation Proclamation and that time in our nation 150 years ago? And why does it still matter today?
McDaniel has lived in Southborough for over 40 years, and was the first woman elected to the Board of Selectmen. She authors a bi-weekly column in the Northborough/Southborough Villager. The talk is in recognition of Black History Month
Free and open to the public, no registration is required to attend this talk. Call the Southborough Library, 25 Main St., at 508-485-5031 for more information.
