Westborough – Especially for Pets has selected the Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton to be its first quarter 2015 Charity Nail Clipping Program recipient. Especially for Pets, in Westborough and other nearby towns, supports animals in need by offering nail clipping for free, in exchange for a donation to a local animal welfare organization. By bringing your dog or cat to one of their groomers to have their nails trimmed from Jan. 1 to March 31, you’ll be helping the animals at Baypath Humane Society.

The funds raised through this program will enable the shelter to build a new enrichment space that will have a positive impact on our animals’ lives.

“For a long time we’ve dreamed of creating a ‘home-like’ room at the shelter so our dogs can have a place to relax away from their pens and escape the hectic shelter environment,” said Elizabeth Jefferis, executive director of Baypath Humane Society. “This quiet space will be set up just like a living room, providing a refuge for anxious dogs, an opportunity for one-on-one bonding time with people, a comfortable place for potential adopters to get to know each dog better, and much, much more.
