What are your earliest football memories?
“My first year of playing football was freshman year. One specific memory from that year is beating Westborough the week before Thanksgiving. It was my first game under the lights.”
Which family member encouraged you to stick with football and succeed at it?
“I’ve had a number of people encourage me, but my grandfather stands out the most, because he’s loved football his entire life, and inspired me to play. He taught me so much about football. Still today, he teaches and inspires me.”
What was this season like playing for the Tomahawks?
“This season has been incredible. We struggled in our first two games, but throughout the five-game winning streak that followed, we began playing as a team. There was never any ‘I’ or ‘me.’ No single player won those games for us. We won with heart and selflessness.”
What single game of your high school career has been the most special?
“Week 3 of this season against North Middlesex. They’re a very good team. With the help of our unbelievable home crowd, and a huge stop on a two-point conversion, we secured a 21-19 victory to kick off our winning streak.”
What do you consider to be the best part of your game?
“I consider the best part of my game to be my heart and my attitude. I’m not the biggest kid on the field, but I don’t shy down from big hits. With my attitude, even if I make a mistake, I don’t get down on myself.”
What are your expectations for next season, your senior year?
“I’m excited for my senior year of football. Our team is starting to make a name for themselves, and we have a number of returning starters. The work we put in during the offseason is the most important part.”
What is your favorite NFL team and player?
“I’ve been a Patriots fan my whole life. I have always loved Tom Brady because he was overlooked coming out of college, mostly due to his lack of physical strength. What they overlooked was his heart. He plays with so much intensity, and that’s the reason he’s my favorite player.”
What is your favorite class in school, and why?
“My favorite class in school is math. Math has always been my strongest subject, and one that I really like.”
What is your favorite type of music, and artist of that genre?
“I’ve always loved hip hop. I specifically like listening to it before games to get fired up. My favorite artist is 50 Cent.”
Have you checked out any colleges yet, and would you like to play football at that level?
“I have not checked out any schools yet, but I hope to visit a couple after the season is over. I have not decided if I want to play football in college, but it’s something I’ve thought about.”
