Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Schools Music/Theater Association (SSMA) has announced Caola Equipment of Worcester will once again donate a snow blower for the Grand Raffle.
For each of the past eight years, the SSMA has held the Grand Raffle during the fall season
to raise funds to help defray the expenses that are incurred by students in the music and theater departments.
The SSMA is a volunteer organization committed to supporting the arts in all of the Shrewsbury schools. The parents work diligently all year long to raise funds which help all grade levels. Some of the items the organization provides support for are bus transportation to events such as the Central District Auditions and Festival for the middle and high school students, instrument replacement, uniform/concert attire, and scholarships for graduating seniors.
The Grand Raffle is running now until the final concert of the season at Oak Middle School Tuesday, Dec. 15, at which the three winners will be drawn. The winners do not need to be present. First prize is a snow blower from Caola Equipment; second prize is two tickets to “42nd Street” at the Hanover Theatre; and third prize is a beautiful sterling silver G clef necklace from Sach’s Jewelers.
