Hudson – Hudson High School’s eighth and ninth grades will present the play “Anne of Green Gables” Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5 and 6.
The play, adapted from the Lucy Maud Montgomery classic by Peter DeLaurier, is the story of Anne Shirley, a romantic, hotheaded 11-year-old girl. Anne (played by Lindsey Spuria and Julia Terra-Solomao) is adopted from an orphanage by middle-aged brother and sister, Matthew (Dylan Andrade) and Marilla (Casey Carlino), who are expecting a boy to help on the farm. Over the course of six years she wins their hearts and turns the town of Avonlea into a bright world of “kindred spirits.”
Shows will be Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. in Hudson High’s Intel Mini Theatre, 69 Brigham St. Admission is $10. All proceeds directly benefit the Hudson High Drama Society. This show is a G-rated show and recommended for all ages. Call 978-567-6250, ext. 0131, for more information.
