Hudson – On Dec. 12 and 13, the Hudson Police Department received help collecting donations to its annual Toys for Tots campaign for five hours each day at Walmart. They were joined by cadets of the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough, led by Chief Warrant Officer 3 Randolph P. Mann.
New, unwrapped and unopened toys can be purchased and brought any time to the police station at 62 Packard Street. The age range for the toys is infant to 13. Toys brought after Christmas will be stored for next year.
According to its website, “The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.”
