Northborough – Charles E. Wright, 88, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at Marlborough Hills Health Care.
He leaves his wife, Mickie Wright; daughter Candis Lincoln; son Brian Wright; stepson Mark Mielnicki; two grandsons; a step-granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
Charlie was born and raised in Worcester. A graduate of Commerce High School in 1945, and Worcester Jr. College in 1950, he furthered his studies and graduated from Northeastern University in 1954. He served aboard the USS Mission Bay in the U.S Navy during WW II.
Charlie worked as a home office life underwriter for State Mutual Life Insurance Co. for 40-plus years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Siloam Masonic Lodge in Westborough and First Parish Unitarian Church of Northborough.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Jan. 14, at 1:00 p.m., in Howard Street Northborough. There are no calling hours. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough is directing arrangements.
