Grafton – Operation Friendship will hold dances for grades 5 to 8, Fridays, Feb. 5 and March 11, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Grafton Municipal Center, 30 Providence Road. The cost is $8 per child, and light refreshments will be for sale. There will be games, raffles and prizes, and other surprise activities.
Operation Friendship is a nonprofit that encourages friendship and understanding via student exchange.

The dance will be chaperoned by Operation Friendship students and parents, all who have crowd control management training, and are CORI checked. No child will be allowed to leave the dance without a ride. Organizers assure parents that bullying and misconduct will not be tolerated and ask students to dress appropriately.

Parents can drop off and pick up their children at the rear Senior Center entrance of the Municipal Center.

Last summer, Operation Friendship hosted young adults from Hungary, Wales and Crimea. The summer of 2016 delegates are fundraising to travel abroad and stay with host families. All fundraising provides the funds for travel. For more information, visit Operation Friendship’s local and international pages on Facebook.

For more information, contact Kim Edgren at 508-735-5820 or [email protected].
