Marlborough – The Hilton Garden Inn at 170 Forest St. in Marlborough was officially welcomed to the city by Mayor Arthur Vigeant during a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house June 29. The 160-room hotel, with several boardrooms, dining rooms, conference rooms and a 2,400-square-foot ballroom, is an attractive addition to the Forest Hills development.
Other features are an indoor heated pool, fitness center, complimentary 24-hour business center and a restaurant serving lunch and dinner.
The interior of the hotel is intended for the business sector, providing 27 suites and 4,800 square feet of flexible event space for 315 guests. Centrally located near I-495 and Route 20, GE Healthcare Life Sciences and Quest Diagnostics are next door and Fore Kicks Soccer Complex is located across the street. The Forest Hills/Marlborough Hills development was formerly the vacant Hewlett-Packard site at the intersection of Forest Street and Results Way.
Attending the joint event, sponsored by the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce and Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce, were Hilton Garden staff members Tim Hippensteele, general manager of the new hotel; Karen MacDonald, sales manager; Donna Libby, director of sales; and Chloe Campos, catering sales manager. Also in attendance were city councilors Edward Clancy and Joseph Delano, Marlborough Chamber President and CEO Susanne Morreale Leeber and Karen Chapman, president, Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce.
