Southborough – Southborough Police Chief Kenneth Paulhus released this statement this afternoon:
The Southborough Police Department would like to alert the public of the discovery of a credit card skimming device located at the inside Citizens Bank ATM machine at the Cumberland Farms located at 365 Turnpike Road (Route 9) on January 28th, at approximately 9 p.m.
The device was located attached to the outside of the machine by a customer who alerted the Manager. The machine had been previously checked by employees approximately thirty-six hours prior without a problem.
Customers using the machine during this time period should alert their banking or credit card company. The incident remains an active investigation. Anyone having further information should contact Detective Keith Nichols at (508) 485-2121.
