Crocheters invited to charity event in Northborough
Dona Cerule, the Fishnet Crocheters of New England mascot

Northborough – The Fishnet Crocheters of New England, a local chapter of the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA), will be participating in Craftworks’ “Beginning of Summer Party” Sunday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Craftworks, 243 West Main St.

The Fishnet Crocheters will be demonstrating various crochet stitches and techniques, sharing some FOs (Finished Objects) and UFOs (Unfinished Objects), and answering questions visitors have about the local group as well as CGOA. They will also be collecting rectangles for Warm Up America, as part of the 2017 CGOA Chapter Challenge, so if you have any you would like to donate, please bring them to the event.  (Or plan to crochet one during the event — 7″ x 9″, 100% acrylic yarn.) The rectangles will later be assembled into lap blankets for Hugcrafters of Newton to donate to Spaulding Rehab Hospitals in the Boston area.
