Shrewsbury – Ever since the town voted last year to ban the use of plastic bags in stores, the subject continues to be a sore one with some Shrewsbury residents who disagreed with that decision.
Now, there’s another point of contention regarding bags – this time, with the Pay-as-you-throw (PAY-T) bags used for trash collections, which some residents are reporting are defective and/or rip too easily.
Town officials are working with the company who produces the bags to resolve the problem. In the meantime, they urge residents to contact Town Hall at 508-841-8508 so that they can get replacements.
