Southborough Police Department to offer free workshop on personal safetySouthborough – The Southborough Police Department will offer a free 90-minute workshop at Trottier Middle School on techniques for personal safety involving an Active Armed Intruder on Saturday, June 23 at 2 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to attend the class which will be taught by School Resource Officer Kevin Landry. The workshop covers maintaining situational awareness in public and private spaces, responses for dangerous situations, and advice on how to best respond immediately. The workshop is different from ALICE training offered in schools. It has been taught to town employees, and local business staff with positive reviews.

The event is in collaboration with the Southborough Youth and Family Services who will provide childcare for parents wishing to attend. Please email Sarah Cassell at [email protected] to make arrangements.
