Northborough/Southborough – On May 24th, student-athletes of Algonquin Regional High School received a $500 donation from FIC Restaurants, Inc. (Friendly’s restaurants) in partnership with the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA). During a four-week period, 374 member schools in the MIAA’s eight districts had the opportunity to raise money for various school programs including athletics, prom, academic clubs, and more at their neighborhood Friendly’s restaurant. The school from each of the eight districts that raised the most funds received an extra $500 donation from the restaurant, as well as an ice cream award.
