Shrewsbury – Gregory C. Benoit, 47, of Shrewsbury, passed Aug. 6, 2018.
He leaves his wife, Rebekah; daughters Jennifer, and Jaqwalyn; his loving mother, Donna M. and husband Michael J. Isaac; father Richard C. Benoit; sister Lori Kelley and husband Jack; sister Deborah Nigro and husband Jim; brother Richard D. Benoit and wife Cathy; brother Michael C. Isaac; nephews and nieces; and many, many friends.
Greg was an avid sports and music enthusiast. He was a huge Bruins fan and a star hockey player. He was a professional stage lighting rigger for major acts in many large venues, such as, the Georgia Dome. However, his greatest love was the time he spent with his family. Greg had an incredible ability to make everyone he met feel like an old friend, and was willing to help anyone without exception. His infectious smile will stay in our hearts forever, and we will always remember words he lived by, “Never say goodbye, just say see you later.”
Relative and friends are invited to calling hours Monday, Aug. 13, from 4-7 p.m., at Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. A prayer service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 1 p.m., at funeral home. Burial will follow.
