Northborough – Chun Sun Im passed away peacefully in her sleep Sept. 18, 2018, at the age of 101, on the eve of her 102 birthday. She was born Sept. 19, 1916 in Seoul, Korea.
Chun Sun is survived by her two sons, Il Song and Il Wook Byun; one daughter, Lilian Kim; her son-in-law, Andrew Kim; and three grandchildren, Stephen, Jennifer, and Joseph Kim. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Hae Goun Byun, and second son, Il Houng Byun.
Chun Sun endured the Korean War with her four children and immigrated to the U.S. in 1984 to live with her daughter, Lillian. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was adored by her loving family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A wake service is scheduled Saturday, Sept. 22, at 3 p.m., at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough.
