Shrewsbury – A work day at Prospect Park, 65 Prospect St., Shrewsbury, will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants will assist with planting, resetting the flagstone walk and clearing areas of brush and overgrowth. Donations of plants are welcome, particularly irises.
Please wear long sleeves, pants and gloves and use bug spray for prevention. If possible, bring gardening tools such as shovels, rakes, hand pruners, weed whackers or hedge trimmers.
