Democratic City Committee to host registration drive in Marlborough  Marlborough  – With an eye toward the upcoming 2020 presidential primary and presidential election, the Democratic City Committee will begin a voter registration drive to boost participation in both events. The last day to register to vote for the March 3 primary is Feb. 12. The last day to register for the Nov. 3 presidential election is Oct. 14.

The City Committee will hold the first registration session on Saturday, January 18, in the Bigelow Room at the Marlborough Public Library, 35 West Main Street, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Parking for and entrance to the Library is located behind the building on Witherbee Street. Anyone can register to vote at this event. Registrants may choose a party or choose to be unenrolled.

“We all know how important it is to get every voter out for these two watershed elections,” said Committee Acting Co-Chair Dan Caruso. “We will be holding more sessions as we approach the election at times and places to be announced.”

People can also register at their local town or city clerk office, at Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles offices, or online the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s website at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/.

To register in Massachusetts you must be a US citizen, a Massachusetts resident age 18 years old on or before the next election, not have been convicted of corrupt practices with respect to elections, not be under guardianship with respect to voting and not be currently incarcerated for a felony conviction.
