Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Historical Society will present “Old Mill and Water Power” by Tom Kelleher, Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. at the society’s Church Road location.
This PowerPoint talk examines how water power worked and the crucial role mills played in early America. Several common types of dams, water wheels, and mills are examined and explained.
Kelleher is currently Historian and Curator of Mechanical Arts at Old Sturbridge Village. He regularly teaches and demonstrates at museums and historical societies around the
