Region – August is usually a time for back-to-school shopping as families flock to local stores with lists in hand. Normally, those lists include items such as pencils, notebooks and lunch boxes. This year, of course, is a year like no other, so things such as face coverings, hand sanitizer, and cleaning wipes will no doubt be featured prominently.
That is, of course, if students even are allowed to return to their physical classes this fall. Districts across the state are now assessing different models of learning (in person, remote or a hybrid) while families anxiously await the final decisions.
