Phyllis M. BoothbyFayville – Phyllis M. Boothby, 91, of Fayville, passed away on May 15, 2021 after a period of declining health. Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Florence (Goff) Pessini and wife of the late George R. Boothby, who died in 2012.

Phyllis grew up in Fayville and was a supervisor at Telechron Co. in Ashland before her marriage to George in 1950. She enjoyed bingo, knitting, and playing the organ. She was a devoted homemaker who will be remembered as a kind, caring, and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Maureen Colleary and her husband James of Fayville, George Boothby Jr. and his wife Rosemary of Vermont, Christine Brock and her husband Stephen of Millbury, and Scott Boothby and his wife Marcia of Uxbridge; five grandchildren, Tammi Loach, Paul Brock, Michael Boothby, Robert Boothby, and Jennifer Kinhart; one great-granddaughter, Alexandra Loach; three sisters, Patricia Paganella, Josephine Pessini, and Arlene Cintolo; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leo Pessini Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Anne’s Parish, 20 Boston Rd., Southborough, with burial to follow at Rural Cemetery of Southborough.  Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 18, from 4-7 p.m., in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Ashland.
