Vasiliky DralliosShrewsbury – Vasiliky Drallios, 65, of Shrewsbury passed away on Saturday, March 26th in UMass Hospital, University Campus located in Worcester. She was born in Sparta, Loganiko, Greece.

She was the daughter of the late Ioanni and Maria (Papagonis) Nikoulias, who immigrated to Cambridge in 1971.

Vasiliky was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Zisis “Peter” Drallios, who passed away May 19, 2001.

With her husband, they owned and operated several businesses and properties. Their first venture together being Dunkin’ Donuts, then Sunrise Donuts, and later Play It Again Sports in Leominster, MA.

She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Vasiliky will be remembered as a tireless worker, who always put her family first. Through her busy life she managed to find time to tend to her garden and provide incredible meals for her family and friends right up until her passing.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. Vasiliky was known as Yiayia, not only to her family, but to everyone who met her. She will be remembered for her kind hearted-nature to all and never-ending culinary delights. Vasiliky will be sorely missed, but a life that touches others goes on forever.

Vasiliky is survived by her daughter, Anastasia Drallios-Petruzziello and her husband Armando; her son, Athanasios Drallios and his wife, Danielle all of Shrewsbury; her sister Stavroula Kapiris and her husband, Georgios of Auburn; her half-sister, Elisa Nikoloulias and her husband, Carlos Gomez of New York City; her three beloved grandchildren, Sofia and Alexander Petruzziello, Zisi Drallios and several other nieces and nephews.

Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Maria Cordones for her four years of dedication and devotion provided to Vasiliky, earning her a place in the hearts of all the Drallios family members.

Vasiliky’s funeral will be held on Friday April 1st. Visitation will be held in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral,102 Russell Street, Worcester from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a service starting at 1:00 pm. Following the service the burial will be held at Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
