Westborough police investigating residential break-ins

WESTBOROUGH – The Westborough Police Department is asking for the community’s help following two residential break-ins.

The first break-in on Harvey Lane was reported at 6:40 a.m. on July 22, and the second break-in on O’Neil Drive was reported at 6:38 a.m. this morning.

Lt. Michael Daniels told the Community Advocate that the residents were on vacation.

He said police aren’t sure how the suspect entered or exited the homes or exactly what was taken. However, he said it was likely that the same person may be responsible for both incidents.

Police are asking if you live in the area and observed something suspicious or out of the ordinary to contact the Westborough Police Department detectives at 508-475-4250.

Additionally, the Westborough police are reminding residents that they can call the dispatch center and to inform the police that they will be on vacation and request extra patrols.

Daniels said the police will then do random, but directed patrols in the area.

The dispatch center can be reached at 508-366-3060.
