Jose V. CabralHudson – Jose Vicente Cabral “Ze”, 70, long time resident of Hudson, MA, passed peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 after a struggle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father Manuel Pereira Cabral in 1998 and his mother Helena Loura Cabral in 2022.

He leaves his partner Dave Mollo; and siblings, Maria G. Koral and her husband Stephen of Bolton, MA; Josefina Cabral and her partner Pamela Clowes of Clinton, MA; Tony L. Cabral and his wife Terri of Oldsmar, FL; Teresa F. Wisuri and her husband Bernie of Hudson, MA and Anna M. Goulet and her husband Paul of Marlborough, MA. Jose is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kristen Murphy and her husband Patrick; Carissa Koral; Joshua Cabral; Regina Jusseaume and her husband Chad; Eric Cabral; Brenton Koral and his wife Amy; Andrew Goulet and his wife Samantha; great nieces and nephews, Addison and Adriann Murphy; Geneva Jusseaume; Brayden and Sophia Koral; A.J. and Elaina Goulet; along with many other relatives and friends.

Jose was born and raised in Santa Maria, Azores of Portugal. He and his family emigrated to the United States and resided in Hudson, MA since 1967. He was a long-time employee of Gould’s Distinctive Clothing. Jose was considered a pillar of his community and was extremely proud of his Portuguese heritage.

Jose was the rock of the family, always hosting Sunday dinners where he enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephews. He was a loyal friend to all. He took pride in his many years of service and friendship that he provided at Gould’s.

He traveled extensively and loved spending time at the beach. Jose loved dancing and listening to music, including Fado. He had a strong interest in most sports and closely followed soccer.  He was a devoted Dragao.

Jose was kind, friendly and funny, with a quick wit. He will be remembered as a strong and caring person, always there when needed, and for enjoying life to the fullest.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 3-6pm on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA; burial will be at a later date.
