Katie Zereski, 51, of ShrewsburyShrewsbury – Katie (Cathyann) Zereski passed away peacefully on April 4 th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Worcester, MA on September 2, 1971, the daughter of Catherine (Socha) and Don Zereski, Sr.

She attended Northborough public schools until she moved to Switzerland with her parents and attended followed by Nichols College where she received a B.S. Degree in Marketing and International Business. In high school and college, Katie was a cheerleader, and she was also the equipment manager for the college Rugby team.

She held several roles in marketing at a variety of companies, including: Devon and Cornwall Development International, Ultranet Communications, RCN Corporation, Conversent Communications, Connecticut Telephone, and the Wellesley Companies. For the last ten years, Katie was a TALP Certified Lactation consultant. Katie found her true career calling in fitness. She was a certified personal trainer at The Fitness Asylum where she inspired hundreds to achieve goals that they never dreamed were possible.

Katie’s children, McKenzie and Zachary Johnson, were the highlight of her life and they lived together in Shrewsbury, MA. Her favorite places were on Cape Cod where she spent time at her family’s home in North Falmouth, MA, either shopping, boating, or on her favorite beach nearby.

Katie will be missed for her positive attitude, incredible smile, quick wit, and the selfless way she helped and inspired others. She will be lovingly missed by her children McKenzie and Zac Johnson, her father Don Zereski, Sr. and her brother and sister in-law Don and Kelsa Zereski.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury, MA at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 12 th . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
