Greek bake sale to egg hunt: Five things to do this weekend

REGION – This weekend some residents will get ready to celebrate Easter or be in the throes of celebrating Passover. Here’s a list of five things to do this weekend and next week.

Easter Bunny comes to Hebert

Looking for a chance to meet the Easter Bunny? The bunny and Peter Rabbit have been hopping by Hebert Candy Mansion in Shrewsbury every weekend since March 25. This weekend will be your last hop-ortunity. The Easter Bunny will be at Hebert on April 7 and 8 from noon to 4 p.m. Hebert Candy Mansion is located at 574 Hartford Turnpike.

Egg hunt at Ward Park

The Marlboro Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3565 will sponsor its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8, at noon at Ward Park. There will be 22,000 colorful plastic Easter eggs strewn around the park. The Easter Bunny will be there along with other costumed characters. Admission is free. Parking available at the Marlborough Senior Center and at the Bigelow School.

Friends of the Library Book Sale

The book sale will take place April 8, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Westborough Public Library’s meeting room, 55 West Main St. Most items are $1 or less, and proceeds benefit the services and events offered by the library. New inventory at each sale. Come stock up on some great new books, CDs and DVDs. Book donations are accepted on an ongoing basis inside the Parkman Street entrance during library hours.

Thursday morning walks

The Thursday morning walks with Ken Bennett in Northborough returned last week. Participants meet at the Northborough Senior Center at 10 a.m. on Thursdays before heading to their destination. No registration is required, and all people are welcome to join.

Greek Bake Sale

The Greek Bake Sale will take place Saturday, April 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saints Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, 9 Central St. Homemade pastries available for purchase.
