MARLBOROUGH – Laura Wagner will not be running for another term as Ward 1 city councilor.

She will be moving to North Attleborough.

Wagner said she will complete her term, which ends in December.

“I’m sad to be leaving my position as city councilor. It’s been an honor to serve the Ward 1 residents,” said Wagner. “It’s also hard to leave after living here for 31 years. I have a lot of happy memories.”

Specifically, Wagner said she will be providing full-time day care for her granddaughter.

“Her little sister is due in November,” she said. “The drive is just too far for me. It’s time to move to North Attleborough.”

Mark A. Vital will be running for Wagner’s seat.
