Hudson – Denise M. (McGrath) Griffin, 90, of Hudson, MA, died on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center, Marlborough, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald K. Griffin Sr.
Denise leaves her two sons, Donald K. Griffin Jr. of Hudson, MA, Dennis K. Griffin of Hudson, MA; her two grandchildren, Kevin Griffin, Kasey Griffin, both of Hudson; her sister, Mary A. Arena of Natick, MA and her brother, Maurice E. McGrath Jr. of Ballston Spa, NY. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Joyce Griffin and her two sisters, Late Joanne Schofield and late Helen Gilbert.
Denise was born in Natick, MA, daughter of the late Maurice E. McGrath Sr. and Helen J. (McDonald). She was raised in Natick, MA attending local schools and was a graduate of Natick High School. Denise was employed as a cashier by Walmart in Hudson, MA for many years until her retirement. She cherished her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren as the were growing up. She was kind, thoughtful and had a unique giving spirit. She loved all animals and especially was fond of her pet cats throughout the years. She lived a hearty long life and will be missed by all those who loved and knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. All are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 am for procession at 10:45 am to Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson, MA for graveside services.
