Beverly L. DeckerWestborough – Beverly L. (Sears Foster) Decker, 88, of Westborough, formerly of Marlborough passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital.

Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Manuel B. Sears and Edith (Betts) Foster and the wife of the late Charles Decker.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Decker and his wife Frances of Brewster, MA, Stephen Decker and his wife Linda of Hudson, MA, her daughters Judith Kline and her husband Mark of Harrisonburg, VA, Terry Decker of Douglas, MA, Kim Bertonassi and her husband Paul of Marlborough, MA, Sharon Decker of Marlborough, MA, her brother Stephen Foster and his wife Carole of Hampton, NH, and her 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Beverly’s love for the beach brought her to Cape Cod where she and Charlie lived for many years. They enjoyed long walks on the beach exploring the Brewster flats. Large family gatherings at the beach were her favorite and she was often the first one in the water to take a dip. Beverly enjoyed Christmas each year when the family came together to celebrate “Christmas on the Cape” with mom and dad.

Beverly was always interested in keeping busy and learning new things which included hairdressing school and earning her LPN later in life. She worked for Cape Cod C Labs during her years on the Cape and was an active member of the Brewster Baptist Church where her adult bible classes were filled to the brim! She did all this while staying connected to her home church in Bolton, Trinity Church Congregational. She dedicated her life to the Lord and was active at the Freedom Farm, the Christian Women’s Club and Women’s Fellowship where she would celebrate and share her love of the Lord. Other interests include gardening, crafting, cake decorating (even wedding cakes!) and loved to dance with her prince, Charlie.

Her love for the family was immense and she enjoyed every second with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She wasn’t the one sitting back and watching but instead joined in the action as often as possible. Her recent skills at ladder ball often had her winning the game! With a total of 38 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Mimi never forgot a birthday!
