WESTBOROUGH – A couple of former Westborough State Hospital buildings could soon be demolished.

Over the past couple of weeks, trees have been removed from 160 and 170 Oak St., next to the district courthouse.

According to Planning Director Jennifer Gingras, the properties were sold recently. The new owners, Oak Street Real Estate LLC, are also performing asbestos abatement.

She added that once the abatement is completed, demolition is planned. However, a permit has yet to be pulled.
