Colleen M. KerriganShrewsbury – Colleen M. (Emond) Kerrigan, 58, of Shrewsbury, MA formerly of Marlborough, MA, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at UMASS Hospital, Worcester, MA surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Steven W. Kerrigan for 35 years, and together they raised a beautiful family filled with love and precious memories.

She was born in Marlborough, MA, to the late Raymond W. Emond, Sr. and Marie P. (D’Amico) Emond.

In her professional life, Colleen worked as a Medical Biller for UMASS Marlborough Hospital. Her dedication and attention to detail were evident in her work, and she was highly respected by her colleagues.

Colleen was born with a creative spirit and a passion for crafting. She spent countless hours immersed in her favorite hobbies, creating beautiful works of art. Colleen’s love for her family was unparalleled, and she found immense joy in spending quality time with her loved ones. She also had a fondness for online shopping, which allowed her to indulge in her interests and discover new treasures.

Colleen was the proud mother to her son, Jeffrey M. Kerrigan, and his wife Karen M. (Pighetti), as well as her daughter, Samantha M. (Kerrigan) Sousa, and her husband Jason. Colleen adored her six grandchildren, Jacoby Sousa, Kinleigh Sousa, Olivia Kerrigan, Liam Kerrigan, Sawyer Sousa, and Charlotte Kerrigan, and treasured every moment spent with them.

Colleen will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind memories and an enduring legacy of love. In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Colleen is survived by her brothers, Raymond W. Emond, Jr., John M. Emond, and his longtime girlfriend Darlene McKinnon, and Richard J. Emond, and his wife Lynnley (Cahill); as well as her brother-in-law, Robert F. Kerrigan, Jr., sister-in-law, Laurie J. Kerrigan, and brother-in-law, Paul D. Kerrigan, and his wife Maria (Sousa). She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey P. Emond. She is also survived by many other family members whom she loved and cared for very much.

Friends and family are invited to attend the calling hours, which will be held at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752, on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A graveside service will take place on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough, MA.
