Virginia F. DrabeckMarlborough – Virginia F. (Sullivan) Drabeck 99 of Marlborough, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born In the Bronx in New York, the daughter of the late John and Florence (Lauterbach) Sullivan.

Virginia was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Robert “Bob” H. Drabeck in 2015.

Virginia is survived by her 2 daughters, Kathleen A. Testaverde of NY, Patricia Punger Diorio of Sterling, MA, a son, Robert W. Drabeck and his wife Debraann of FL, 9 grandchildren, Kerry, Heather, Allison, Alicia, Cindy, Christine, Corinne Candace, Eric, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, Declan. She was predeceased by a brother, John Sullivan.

“Ginny” was a dancer and served in the USO overseas during WWII entertaining our troops. She survived the London blitz bombings then returned and performed across the U.S.A. Later she worked in an insurance company before settling down with Bob on Long Island and raising three children.

After a move to Florida, Ginny and Bob enjoyed playing golf and she became a par golfer. At eighty years young, she shot a hole-in-one!  Later, she designed and crafted jewelry for fun.

Virginia loved her family and her many friends at New Horizons in Marlborough.

Following cremation, services will be held in New York at a later date.
