Westborough – Jeanne Leona Irene Davis (Dufresne), 75, a devoted mother, grandmother, and caregiver, passed away on March 07, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, having touched the lives of all who knew her.

She was born and raised in Worcester, MA, daughter of Joseph Dufresne and Gisele (Maurais).

She is survived by her children Caroline and her husband Steven Liberis, Lekden, and Nathan and his wife Kate Munson; grandchildren Logan, Lily, and Melanie; brothers Bill and his wife Gail and Joe and his wife Mary; nieces and nephews; many friends she held dear, especially Kevin, Irene, and Jeanne.

Jeanne graduated from Holy Name High School and Quinsigamond Community College. She began her career as a Registered Nurse at Worcester City Hospital serving in labor and delivery. Her passion for caring led her to a long and fulfilling career in geriatrics, where she served with kindness, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to those under her care.

Her love wasn’t limited to humans, and she always had numerous cats that she spoiled rotten.

In retirement, Jeanne found joy in caring for her grandchildren and participating in activities at the Westborough Senior Center. Jeanne was an avid knitter and crocheter, making sure her grandchildren stayed warm in the winter.  She also loved being in the knitting circle and volunteering at the Center’s craft fair.

Throughout her life, Jeanne faced adversity with strength and courage. Upon receiving her cancer diagnosis, it was important to her to fight, bravely navigating treatment. She and her family are eternally grateful to her team of medical professionals and caretakers, especially Patty, Mary Ellen, and Paulina who helped make sure her last few months were filled with comfort and companionship. Jeanne’s life was a testament to the power of love and friendship.
