Shrewsbury – Mary L. (Lynch) Giorgi, 90, of Shrewsbury and formerly of Westborough passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Mary is survived by her husband, Charles J. Giorgi of Shrewsbury, and her daughters, Ann K. Swedberg and her husband Ralph Swedberg of Shrewsbury, Mary E. Giorgi and her significant other Thomas Abbott of Marlborough, her 4 grandchildren, Katie Miller and her husband Dan, Beth Korth; Alex Korth, Elizabeth Brederson and her significant other Tyler Mills, and Kristofer Swedberg, as well as 5 great grandchildren whom she adored. She is also survived by her brother, George Lynch of Kennebunk, Maine and was predeceased by her sister Kathleen Mitchell formally of Westborough. Also many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mary graduated from Westborough High School, Class of 1951 and then attended Worcester State College where she received a Masters Degree in Education in 1958.
Mary truly had a love for teaching and valued her teaching career. She was an Elementary school teacher for 33 years and primarily worked in Westborough at the Fales and Hastings Elementary schools.
