Shrewsbury – Peter Martucci, 69, of Shrewsbury, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep Monday, March 25th, 2024, on what would have been the 98th birthday of his mother who passed away on August 27th, 2023. Peter is welcomed into heaven into the arms of his parents Emilio and Marie and his brother, Joey Martucci, among other family members.
Born in Worcester, Peter grew up in the Holmes field neighborhood of Worcester and graduated from North High School. He then went on to work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Revenue as an auditor many years before retiring. He also worked for his brother, Joey at the Light Lab company on Shrewsbury St.
Peter was an enthusiastic golfer who found peace and enjoyment on any course at any time he could play. He liked being with his brothers, nephews and friends during the holidays, special occasions, family dinners or just hanging out. He had a heart of gold, a bright smile, and a willingness to help whenever someone needed a hand. Peter’s yard was impeccably maintained with freshly cut grass, bright flowers, and special touches only Peter could do.
He is survived by his brother Vincent Martucci, and his wife Karen who was more like a sister, who live in Mashpee; two nephews, Matthew Martucci and his wife Stephenie of Danielson Ct, Anthony Martucci and his fiancée Kayla of Thompson Ct; many cousins, extended family members and friends including Carl Gustafson in Arizona.
Private funeral services and entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum with his parents and brother were held privately. A celebration of life service will be held in the future.
