Grafton – It was unseasonably mild Dec. 3 when residents and visitors enjoyed attending Grafton Recreation’s 22nd annual Grafton Celebrates the Holidays.
Known that afternoon as “Frosty Stops,” over 40 businesses, churches and organizations joined the recreation department to offer activities, refreshments and holiday entertainment. Added last year, shuttle buses were again available from the Grafton High School parking lot to Koopman’s Plaza and Grafton Common for access to some of the popular stops.
The afternoon of activities held around town culminated at Grafton Common. Singer-guitarist Mike Tarara provided musical entertainment from the gazebo. A caroling sing-along was led by Grafton Girl Scouts of various levels.
A town firetruck delivered Santa Claus to the common for his grand entrance. After mingling with the crowd, Santa and everyone counted down to the official tree lighting.
