‘Free August’ includes a month-long roster of exhibitions and programs available to visitors of all ages

Worcester – The Worcester Art Museum (WAM) has announced the continuation of one of its most popular summertime traditions: free admission for the entire month of August. “Free August” includes access for everyone to special exhibitions, the permanent galleries, and WAM’s August programming—including tours, Art Carts, arms and armor demonstrations. Free August at the Worcester Art Museum is generously sponsored by The Kirby Foundation. Media partners are Worcester Magazine and 96.1 WSRS.

Special exhibitions on view during the month of August include: Exploring the Myths of James Dye, featuring the myth-inspired and immensely detailed dip pen and ink drawings by the Sally R. Bishop Prize Winner of the 2017 ArtsWorcester Biennial, and Radiance Rediscovered: Stained Glass by Tiffany and La Farge, which showcases the exquisite artistry and luminescent colors of recently conserved stained-glass windows by Louis Comfort Tiffany and John La Farge, as well as other works by the artists.
