Shrewsbury – State Sen. Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) and State Rep. Hannah E. Kane (R-Shrewsbury) announced that the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development has recently awarded Central One Federal Credit Union in Shrewsbury a training grant through the Workforce Training Fund General Program.
Founded in 1952 as an occupational-based credit union for employees of the New England Electric System, Central One Federal Credit Union has grown into one of the largest federal credit unions in Central Massachusetts. The Credit Union was awarded $123,200 to train 113 workers through the Training Fund, which is an initiative designed to aid productivity and competitiveness.
