Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks played host to the Shrewsbury High School Colonials on Sept. 12 in a lightning-shortened game.
The Colonials scored first and made the two-point conversion and then scored two more times in the first half (missing the conversion on the second touchdown and making a point-after kick on the third touchdown).? After a weather delay due to lightning, the game resumed but only briefly before more severe lightning and rain suspended the game just after the start of the second half with the score 21-0 ahead of the Tomahawks.
The remainder of the game was played on Sept. 13, also in Northborough, where Algonquin managed to put 13 points on the board to Shrewsbury's 12? additional points to make the final score 33-13 in favor of Shrewsbury.
