Westborough – Students of the Center Stage Theater Company transformed the Westborough High School (WHS) auditorium into an abandoned haunted house Oct. 16. Throughout the evening, a group of creepy characters eerily emerged from dark crevices when guests arrived and donated a $5 admission. Proceeds from the first-time fundraiser will go toward future production costs. The theater company produces three mainstage shows each school year, as well as a series of smaller events.
Center Stage is currently preparing to present “Museum” the weekend of Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6 and 7, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m., at WHS. Directing the fall play is drama teacher Anne Slotnick.
The full-length comedy takes place at a museum that’s displaying a group show of three artists. Among the show’s varied visitors are art lovers, skeptics, foreigners, students and museum guards. The play examines the characters’ movements and yearnings.
All tickets are $12 and general seating. Tickets can be purchased at the door or reserved in advance by emailing [email protected]. Provide your name, number of tickets needed and performance date.
