Northborough –Mark Leahy has announced that he is retiring next month as Northborough’s Police Chief to become the executive director of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association.
He will be taking over for the association’s current executive director A. Wayne Sampson, who is the former Shrewsbury Police Chief.
Leahy is currently the association’s treasurer and has served as its president. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar. Prior to coming to Northborough in 2003, he served with the Connecticut State Police for over 20 years retiring at the rank of captain.
