Northborough free summer concert series kicks off

June 30 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Northborough – The Northborough Community Affairs Committee has announced the return of its free Summer Concert Series for 2019.  All concerts will be held on Sundays at Ellsworth-McAfee Park (Route 135) in Northborough from 5-7 p.m. Food trucks will be back again this year as well as face painting and balloon art for kids.

Midtown Horns

Sunday, June 30

From contemporary to Motown to classic rock to Latin rhythms, blues and soul, the Midtown Horns band can do it all. The highly accomplished and experienced horn and rhythm sections provide the backup for two male lead vocalists and two female vocalists which serve to create a powerful, high energy band.

Hit the Bus

Sunday, July 14

Hit the Bus formed in 2008 and has played all throughout Massachusetts. They play an eclectic mix of music ranging from the ‘50s to today’s hits.

Cold Spring Harbor

Ben Eramo’s Cold Spring Harbor is a Billy Joel tribute band consisting of eight fantastic musicians, and great friends, from the North Shore Greater Boston area.

Way Up South

Sunday, August 11

Way Up South’s expansive sound incorporates a maturity and musicianship that weaves in and out of southern, blues, country, jazz, and Americana rock music.

Playing Dead

Sunday, August 25

Playing Dead is a Grateful Dead tribute band featuring former members of Dark Star Orchestra, Slipknot! and Uncle John’s Band. Their marathon sets feature music and jams from the entire Grateful Dead catalog.

Food vendors will vary for each concert and include Northborough House of Pizza, Say Cheese, Archie’s on a Roll, Trolley Dogs, Travelin’ Bones Barbecue, Teddy’s Lunchbox, Uhlman’s Ice Cream and Yummy Mummy Bakery. The Face Escape will be available at each concert to paint children’s faces and create balloon art.
