Northborough Historical Society meeting to feature Civil War program

Northborough – The Northborough Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting Friday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. The evening’s program will be “I’ll Pass for Your Comrade – Women Soldiers in the Civil War,” presented by author and professor Anita Silvey.

Silvey is an author and professor of children’s literature at Simmons College. She will share information about the 1,000 women who fought as men in both the Union and Confederate armies during the Civil War. Meetings are held at the Historical Society building, 50 Main St. (corner of Main and School streets) in Northborough. There is no charge to attend. All are welcome.
