Northborough – When Chris Cotillo was a young boy, he used to create hand-written trade reports and Excel spreadsheets to track every Major League Baseball (MLB) transaction. Today the 17-year-old Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) junior has over 3,200 people following his @TradeDeadliner Twitter account where he covers MLB trade news and rumors.

He is also a writer for CLNSRadio.com, where he covers the Red Sox.

Algonquin wins varsity track invitational

Region – Shrewsbury High School hosted the girls’ track and field Varsity District Invitational April 27 in Shrewsbury. The girls competed in several track and field events including javelin, discus, long jump, and hurdles.

Algonquin Regional High School placed first with 93 points, Wachusett Regional High School came in second with 71 points, and host Shrewsbury High School's 69 points put them in third place. Hudson High School was right behind with 33 points (fifth place), while Westborough High School's 26 points put them in seventh place.

ARHS gymnasts named to Senior National High School Gymnastics Team

Northborough – From a “Yurchenko” layout to a back hand spring, Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) seniors Chloe Herczeg and Alissa Wood have mastered many gymnastics stunts. Now their talents are being recognized, as both girls were recently named to the Massachusetts Senior National High School Gymnastics Team. The 18-year-olds, who are co-captains of the ARHS gymnastics team, will join the best of the state's high school gymnasts and compete against teams from across the United States in a national competition to be held in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., May 16 to 19.

Northborough – On a beautiful, sunny morning, over 100 local residents participated in the first “Northborough Gets Active” 5K Road Race and Walk April 27. The event was a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Northborough, Inc. and the Northborough Recreation Department.
