Corrine CashmanNorthborough – Corrine (Zellmer) Cashman, 81, died Wednesday,? Jan. 15, 2014. Her husband, John Cashman, died in 1996.

She leaves behind two sons, Kevin Cashman and Rebecca Putnam of Northborough and Dennis Cashman and his wife of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida; her grandchildren, Jessica, Anthony, Jesse, Nicole and Alex Cashman; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Paul Cashman, who died in 2011, and her sister, Helen Pelegrino, who died in 1996.

Corrine was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Sauro) Zellmer, and graduated from Commerce High School in 1950. She and John settled in Northborough and raised their family over 50 years ago.

She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church and volunteered for seven years at Proctor Elementary School.

Corrine was truly a loving mother, grandmother and friend who always was concerned with the needs of others. She enjoyed reading, coffee with neighbors, and knitting hats and mittens for children.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 4 – 7 p.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m., in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St., Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery.
