Shrewsbury – Steven E. Lacey, 44, formerly of Franklin, died suddenly Wednesday June 29, 2011, in his home.
Born Oct. 7, 1966, in Milford, he was the son of Rita (Qualter) Lacey of Norfolk and the late Joseph E. Lacey. He was raised in Franklin and had lived in Worcester for five years prior to moving to Shrewsbury two years ago.
A graduate of Franklin High School, Mr. Lacey had been a mortgage administrator for Security First Mortgage Company for the past three years. He had previously worked for several other mortgage companies.
He loved to make people laugh and had a great sense of humor. He also was an avid fan of the Boston sports teams.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his brother, Kevin Lacey and his wife, Chris, of Shrewsbury, and his sister, Jeannine M. Lacey of Uxbridge. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and was the proud godfather to five godsons.
Visitation will be Saturday July 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Ginley Funeral Home, 131 Main St., Franklin, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Mr. Lacey's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N.
